The campaign of one person against dumping of garbage (INSET) along the roadside near BK Bajoria School has yielded an unexpected positive result. The effort managed to gather attention of the concerned authorities following which the look of the place has changed for the better. This campaign opened the eyes of the Shillong Municipal Board (SMB) who deputed a person to clean the area. The credit to this whole campaign goes to Nicholas J Kharkamni, popularly known as Bah Manik, founder of the Pla Iew Club who initiated this drive. (Photo by Lamphrang Nongspung)
