NONGSTOIN: The Federation of Khasi, Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP), Mawshynrut Circle have provided a deadline of 3 days beginning Wednesday to improve the cellular network of Reliance, Vodafone and Aircel within the area.

The Federation complained that the terrible network in the Mawshynrut area was causing problems for the people residing there adding that for the last three days there has been no network.

They also said that mobile users in the area had to dial 20-30 times to get connected to a call, if there was network. They further said it takes 15-20 minutes to send an SMS successfully.

They said that the Companies also charged for services not requested.

Beyond midnight to 9 AM, the Union complained that there was no network on a regular basis.

The FKJGP (Mawshynrut Circle) frustratingly declared that if the Companies did not comply with the deadline provided by them, they would dismantle the towers of these Companies that existed in the area.
