Mukul meets Arunachal Guv

Itanagar: Meghalaya Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma called on Arunachal Pradesh Governor General (Retd) J J Singh at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar here on Thursday.

Dr. Sangma was hosted at the Raj Bhavan during his two-day visit for taking part in the 4th North East Cultural Festival (NECF), being organized by All Arunchal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium at Naharlogun. He acknowledged the serenity and beauty of the Raj Bhavan, official sources said.

Chief Minister Nabam Tuki was also present in the meeting. The leaders discussed ideas for developmental initiatives taken up by their respective states, especially on tourism.

The governor has presented a Mishmi Pipe to the visiting chief minister as a ‘token of love, on behalf of the people of the state and Raj Bhavan’, official sources added. (UNI)
