Independence Day run at Tura

 TURA: As part of the celebration of the 66th Independence Day of the country, the District Administration, Tura is organising an Independence Day Run on August 14.

The race, which will be held in three categories, open men and women (above 14 years), junior boys and girls (below 14 years) and veteran’s men and women (above 50 years) will be starting from Chandmari playground at 6am and will culminate at the MP Stadium.

The District Sports Officer informed that winners will receive cash prizes, mementoes and certificates, and extended an invitation to all citizens of Tura town to participate in the event.

There will also be sports events for children below 12 years of age on August 15 at the MP Stadium at 1pm and an exhibition football match between medical doctors and civil engineers at the same venue at 3pm.
