SHILLONG: Suspected HNLC cadres fired a few rounds at Sunpani (Mawprem) and Upper Shillong on Monday night.
Receiving the information, personnel from the Special Cell of the State Police rushed to the spot. Police, however, could not confirm who was behind the two incidents.
Police patrolling, meanwhile, has been beefed up in Mawprem, Mawkhar, Jaiaw and adjoining areas following the twin firing.
