SHILLONG: The five-day Autumn Sitting of the State Legislative Assembly announced by the government has not gone down well with the Opposition NCP which has accused the Government of doing things according to their own liking without any concern for the people of the State.

The Government has called for a five-day Autumn Session with only three days of business from September 5-7.

“The Government is always trying to shy away from its responsibilities,” Opposition leader Conrad Sangma said on Tuesday.

Sangma informed that the NCP will raise developmental issues, deteriorating law and order situation and the Assam-Meghalaya boundary dispute during the Session.
