NONGSTOIN: One mentally challenged nineteen -year-old girl from Pormawthaw, 46 km from Nongstoin was allegedly raped by one Khrawkupar Iawphniaw (37) of the same village on August 15.
Sources informed that during the Independence day Celebrations at Riangdo, Khrawkupar took advantage about her condition and called her to the nearby forest where he raped her.
The victim’s family lodged an FIR to Riangdo OP on August 16. The Doctor of Mawshynrut CHC had conducted a test and Khrawkupar has been proved to have committed this crime.
