Nongshlong threatens stir

 NONGSTOIN: Pynskhem Lang Nongshlong, who recently hit the headlines with his historic march to Langpih and by undertaking fast, has once again threatened to launch fast-unto-death if the state government fails to fulfill his demands by September 17.

In a statement issued on Monday, Nongshlong said his team would hold a public meeting at Khasi National Durbar, Mawkhar, Shillong on September 1 to seek public support towards his demands.

His demands include reconstruction of the Dorbar Hall of the Hima Raid Mynsaw at Langpih, the completion of the market shed, the upgradation of Langpih police outpost etc
