New Assam Rifles DG takes charge

SHILLONG: Lt Gen Ranbir Singh on Monday assumed charge as the 27th Director General of Assam Rifles.

Lt Gen Singh is an alumnus of Lawrence School, Sanawar and Defence Services Staff College, Wellington and National Defence College. He has been an instructor at the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, The Infantry School, Mhow and the Indian Military Training Team, Bhutan. He has also represented the country as the Defence Attache at the Indian Embassy in Beijing.
