New Delhi: Employing a child below 14 years in any kind of occupation will be completely banned and land you in jail with a maximum three years imprisonment or fine upto Rs. 50,000 with the Union Cabinet on Tuesday approving the measure. Making employment of children below the age of 14 a cognisable offence, the Cabinet at its meeting cleared a proposal to amend the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986. (PTI)
