SHILONG: The city police have decided to impose a “No Entry” along the road from Dhankheti Point to Don Bosco Square, Laitumkhrah for a period of one month starting from September 3.

“We have imposed this “No Entry” due to proposed construction work to be taken by the Meghalaya Urban Development Authority (MUDA) along this road. This order would be effective for a period of one month,” Additional SP (Traffic) Herbert Lyngdoh said here on Saturday.

Elaborating more on this, the ASP said, the one way which is being implemented for two hours during school hours will now be in anti-clock wise adding “Vehicles who wish to come to Don Bosco from Dhankheti will now have to come via Fire brigade – Laitumkhrah to Don Bosco square”.

He also informed that once the construction work is over, they would again revert back to the present traffic arrangement.
