Sibal asks parents to focus on vocational education for kids

Gurgaon: Favouring a change in the education structure, HRD Minister Kapil Sibal on Monday asked parents to change their mindset and focus on vocational education for their children.

Launching a pilot project on ‘National Vocational Education Qualifications Framework’ here, Sibal said, India is a country of youth. There is need to give them such education, which may get them good employment in future. He said, parents will have to change their mindset in this regard and instead of normal education, they should see that their children get vocational education. Emphasising on the need to change the structure of education in the country, he said that 100 community colleges will be launched soon. (PTI)
