Minister's vehicle hits minor

 JOWAI: A five-year-old girl was seriously injured when she was hit by a vehicle (ML04A-4364) belonging to an Assam Minister on Thursday afternoon. Sources informed that the vehicle hit the minor girl — Daka Sari, daughter of Elmi Sari, at Lad-Mukla. Initially, the driver of the vehicle — Sarajeet Sen of Karimganj district — fled from the scene. He was later apprehended by police at Pramer village. The victim was rushed to Jowai Civil Hospital. Sources informed that the vehicles owner has promised to pay Rs 40,000 to the family of the little girl.
