NC pays homage to Mohammad Abdullah

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Union Minister Farooq Abdullah on Saturday paid homage to National Conference founder Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah on his 30th death anniversary on Saturday.

Union Minister Farooq Abdullah, eldest son of Sheikh, led a group of National Conference Ministers, MLAs and workers in paying floral tributes at the Naseem Bagh mausoleum of his father who was also known ‘Sher-e-Kashmir’ (Lion of Kashmir).

After couple of hours, Omar and several of his aides arrived at the grave to offer tributes to sheikh, his grandfather.

Hundreds of National Conference workers had assembled at the mausoleum early in the morning and performed “Quran Khwani” (reciting of the holy Quran). (PTI)
