Hindi Divas observed in State

 SHILLONG: Along with the rest of the country, Hindi Divas was observed in Shillong on Friday with an aim to promote the national language in the State. To mark the occasion, a programme was held at the Rooprekha Higher secondary School on Friday. September 14 is celebrated as Hindi Divas as it was on this day that Hindi was adopted as the official language of the Constituent assembly in 1949.
