SHILLONG: The BSF troops of BOP Latangtilla, Jaintia Hills apprehended one Bangladeshi miscreant identified as Md Hazrat Ali (18) from Dhaka, Bangladesh near BP No 1273/7-S while he was trying to infiltrate into India from Bangladesh.
In another incident, on specific inputs, the BSF troops deployed in Jaintia Hills also seized cattle and boats estimated at around Rs. 24,000.
Besides, during the last week, BSF troops of Meghalaya frontier also seized cattle, wooden logs, water pump and other contraband items worth Rs. 7,94,000.
