Amy Winehouse’s family said a final farewell as they buried her ashes and unveiled a “pink and black

headstone”.

The songstress died aged 27 at her North London home after an alcohol binge in July last year, reported Sun online. Her death greatly impacted her family and fans, with the star’s father Mitch even including his memories in a book, Amy, My Daughter.

Around 70 mourners said their last goodbye to the singer at a Jewish ceremony held on Sunday.

Amy’s ashes were buried and a pink and black headstone was unveiled in her honour.

The black stone features “pink writing and a picture of a songbird” in memory of the talented singer-songwriter.

The stand-out headstone also honours the late singer’s grandmother Cynthia Levy.

Amy’s ashes were “interred next to the memorial in a plot which will reportedly be marked with a single rose.

At the ceremony, Amy’s father paid tribute to his daughter’s “short but dynamic” life. (PTI)
