NONGPOH: The Ri-Bhoi Youth Development & Social Organisation (RBYDSO), on Tuesday expressed concern over the growing influx in the State and blamed the State Government for ignoring the demands by NGOs for implementation of the Inner Line Permit system in the State.

The organisation also questioned the Government for sitting silent on the issue of strengthening the anti-infiltration department.

“The adamant attitude of the Government has led to the rise in influx in the State and the people of the district and the State might have to face the consequences of growing number of illegal immigrants in the State,” RBYDSO secretary Arnold Syngkli said.

The organisation also denounced the District Administration for not taking measures to prevent influx in the district, and demanded the administration to take initiative to cooperate with the NGOs and public in checking influx in the State.
