Shillong: The CSWO (Irene group) and the Hynniewtrep National People’s Federation (HNPF) on Wednesday apprehended for illegal possession of 15.5 grams of heroin which were hidden in two small containers (tobacco containers), at Demthring at around 8pm.
The duo was identified as Duli Hmar (40) and Buli Hmar (18), both hailing from Lungdei, Mizoram.
According to the police, the contraband is worth around Rs 500 per gram.
