Kohima: The Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) has submitted a representation to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohima on the issue of Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Indigenous Inhabitant Certificates in Kohima.

In a representation signed by Angami Youth Organisation president Khrielievi Chusi and General Secretary Runavilhou Kin said the organisation was ‘deeply disturbed’ the way district administration handled the issue of certificates.

It said many ineligible applicants obtained ST and indigenous inhabitant certificates without proper verification of the eligibility or otherwise of the applicants who were not permanently settled in Kohima district.

AYO said such cases could invite serious problems in future if the authority was not vigilant.
