Missing girl traced after 5 months

 NONGPOH: One teenaged girl — Junali Koch (11) — who went missing in April from Pahamsyiem in Nongpoh, was traced by the Ri Bhoi Police at Jagiroad, Assam on Thursday.

According to police, Junali, a resident of Himaji, Assam, was staying with her family in Pahamsyiem village in Nongpoh. She went missing on April 22. Junali’s family logged an FIR immediately after her disappearance.

One Madhuri Khajhar (16), who hails from Pahamsyiem, has been arrested in this connection.

Madhuri reportedly took Junali to Jagiroad. She kept Junali in the house of her uncle Plolis Swer Pathor.

Junali , meanwhile, has been handed over to the her family, source added.
