Stolen vehicle recovered

 SHILLONG: The Ri-Bhoi police have been able to track down the stolen Mahindra Bolero belonging to Sumer Rangbah Shnong from Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.

Ri-Bhoi SP Claudia A Lyngwa informed that the vehicle was stolen few months ago from the residence of the Sumer Rangbah Shnong.

“The officer in charge of Umiam police station along with the Investigating Officer (IO) of this case has left for Itanagar on Friday to take into custody the accused who was involved in stealing of the vehicle,” Lyngwa said.

“We got information about this case after the person who had intended to purchase the vehicle informed the police on being suspicious about the vehicle having a Meghalaya registration number,” Lyngwa said.
