SHILLONG: One Brayan K Bani (17) was apprehended and assaulted by the Village Defence Party members and residents of Upper New Nongstoin on Saturday evening while he was attempting to commit theft at New Nongstoin at West Khasi Hills.
In another incident a burglary took place in M/s Laxmi jewelry shop belonging to one Pintu Debnath at Thana Road, Khyndai Lad on Friday. Meanwhile, a burglary took place in M/s Philips Radio Engineering belonging to one B. Dutta.
