SHILLONG: The Block Congress Committee of South Tura Constituency is facing a dilemma on the choice of candidate for the upcoming Assembly elections after party workers backed John Leslee K Sangma over former Tura legislator Billikid A Sangma.

Following a direction from the high command, a meeting was convened to receive the recommendations of the 22 primary Congress committees of the constituency on the matter.

It was learnt that 17 Primary Congress Committees backed Leslee for the party ticket while only four rallied behind Billikid.
