Rita D Nameirakpam, resident of Nongrimbah and daughter of N Pramod Singh and A Sabita Devi of Singjamei, Imphal, has been awarded the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy for English by NEHU for her thesis ‘The Woman’s Voice: A study of the poems of Emily Dickinson’. She worked under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr Mala Ranganathan of the Department of English, NEHU.
