4 kilograms of opium seized

IMPHAL: Personnel of Narcotic cell, Imphal East Saturday seized 4 kg of opium from the possession of a woman drug peddler at Kanglatombi War Cemetry under Sadar Hills, Senapati district at about 4:30 pm, police said.

The drug peddler identified as Nevei Doungel aged 38, wife of Chabungsam Ingocha, a resident of Awang Keithelmandbi along with the opium, which police valued at Rs 3 lakh in the local market. (NNN)
