SHILLONG: Ace archer Subedar Tarundeep Rai, an Arjuna Award winner, and Havildar Basanta Bahadur Rana were felicitated at the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of the 58 Gorkha Training Centre by the Vice Chief of the Army Staff, Lt Gen SK Singh and General Officer Commander in Chief Eastern Command, Lt Gen Dalbir Singh, in a glittering ceremony at the aforementioned Training Centre in Happy Valley, here on Friday.
The celebrations included a variety of events: remembering fallen heroes, a musical concert and a display of various skills by the recruits.
The event was attended by several serving and retired officers of both 5th and the 8th Gorkha Rifles.
