Facing, what now appears to be his tough

est battle at the hustings, President Barack Obama is turning to America’s top rockstar Bruce Springsteen to rev-up his campaign as the race for White House enters the final stretch.

The 63-year-old musician, popularly known as ‘The Boss’ is teaming up with Obama at an election rally today in the crucial swing states of Ohio and Iowa, CNN reported.

The channel quoting Obama campaign manager said Springsteen would appear with Obama, former President Bill Clinton at a rally in Parma in Ohio.

The rockstar would also attend Obama rallies in Ames, Iowa.

All three states are among the handful of battle-grounds which may decide the outcome of the November 6 Presidential elections, as Gallup polls show the incumbent President trailing for the first time, even after a good showing in his second debate with Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

Springsteen is not the first celebrity to join the Obama campaign bandwagon.

Earlier, rapper Jay-Z, singers Madonna, Beyonce and filmstars Eva Longoria and Scarlett Johansson had also endorsed Obama’s re-election. “Bruce Springsteen’s values echo what the President and Vice President stand for: hard work, fairness, integrity. (IANS)
