Singer Courtney Love

is reportedly plan

ning to make a film on her late Nirvana singer husband Curt Cobain, who committed suicide in 1994.

The Hole rocker is working on either a musical or a movie about the lives of her and Cobain. Sam Lutfi, Britney Spears’ former manager, claims that he is representing Love and they are planning a film. “(Courtney Love and I) are currently working on a possible motion picture or Broadway musical based on the Nirvana catalogue, based on her life and Kurt Cobain’s. She’s an accomplished actress,” said Lutfi.

Lutfi made his claims in a Los Angeles court, where he is suing former client Britney Spears’ parents for libel and breach of contract, the New York Daily News reported.

A source close to 48-year-old Courtney confirmed the movie plans, “She’s been talking about doing a movie or play about her life with Kurt for a long time. It’s been her dream to get her side of the story out.

So far, nothing has materialised.” Love’s acting career includes appearing in The People Vs Larry Flynt in 1996, 200 Cigarettes in 1999 and Straight to Hell Returns in 2010.

Cobain has inspired many films, including ‘Last Days’ by Gus van Sant, which probes the last days of the rocker. A documentary ‘Kurt and Courtney’ by Nick Broomfield also explored the theory that he could actually have been murdered. The musician formed Nirvana with Krist Novoselic in 1985. The band found breakthrough success with Smells Like Teen Spirit. Cobain struggled with heroin addiction, illness and depression which was further aggravated by his difficulty to cope with fame and public image. (PTI)
