DGP reviews passing out of new police personnel

TURA: The passing out parade of the 32nd Batch Recruit Constables was held on Friday morning at the 2nd Battalion MLP, Headquarters, Goeragre in West Garo Hills. The event was attended by Meghalaya Director General of Police (DGP), N Ramachandran, to review the passing out.

DGP N Ramachandran while addressing the gathering and the 588 new police constables, said that they have been given an opportunity to serve the country by protecting and upholding the laws.

They have been privileged of being welcomed into the family of the police force, where each and every member take care and look-out for one another.

He also congratulated the new police constables for having completed the rigorous and painstaking training for nine months and urged them to continue to give their best in serving and protecting the country.

The Passing Out Parade was also attended by the family members of the new police personnel who came from all the four corners of the state to witness and be a part of the ceremony.

The 32nd Batch Recruit Constables which passed out include 520 cadres belonging to the 6th IRBn battalion, 43 from the Tura District Executive Force, 14 from Baghmara District Executive Force, 6 from Williamnagar District Executive Force and 5 from 2nd MLP Batalion.

Others officials present at the ceremony were IGP, FD Sangma, SP, West Garo Hills, SP East Garo Hills, SP South Garo Hills, SP North Garo Hills and SP South West Garo Hills besides others.
