Deputy General of Police, A Sunn has expressed deep appreciation to various truck owners and drivers associations for their cooperation in observing traffic regulation that was imposed during the Durga Puja Festival. “Effective traffic management could be maintained due to your cooperation,” Sunn said in a statement here on Friday.
Marathon
A marathon race in collaboration with the Resubelpara Sports Association on Saturday in connection with the awareness programme for Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls – 2012 under SVEEP (Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation) was organised by the Deputy Commissioner (Ele), North Garo Hills District. Winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates. There were also special consolation prizes for the oldest and youngest runners who completed the race. Senior Officers of the District Administration, SP, ADCs, and EAC were present at the event.
