One GNLA linkman, 3 arms smugglers, apprehended

SHILLONG: The BSF in Dulainalah, East Khasi Hills on Sunday apprehended two Indian arms smugglers identified as Oleshwae Hojan (45) and Champial S Marak (45) while they were trying to exfiltrate into Bangladesh.

However, another accomplice of the smugglers, identified as Bresh Marak, who managed to flee towards the Indian Territory, was later apprehended.

One revolver and five live rounds besides other items were recovered from their possession.

In another arrest, BSF deployed in Chandaboi, West Garo Hills apprehended one Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) linkman Dansalrang Brahnoa, a resident of Goalpara, Assam.

During search, BSF personnel recovered a GNLA demand note from his possession.
