Appreciation
The Jhalupara Council has expressed its appreciation to the Shillong Cantonment Board and its staff particularly the sanitary jamadar Amarjeet Singh for rendering Jhalupara as a model locality in terms of cleanliness and civic amenities.

Health mela
The inaugural function of the heath mela under the national rural health mission will be held at Nongpsung PHC, East Khasi Hills at 11am on Wednesday. Social Welfare minister JA Lyngdoh will be present as the chief guest.
