Bollywood films, crossover films and southern films — actress Tabu has tried her hand at all, and says the entertainment industry follows a similar pattern across the world.

“I think the film experience, acting, actor-director relationship and all the film industries look similar everywhere, be it Bollywood, Hollywood or the southern industry,” the 40-year-old said here in an interview.

“There is a pattern of entertainment industry which remains same. For an actor and a performance, I think all are same as we just have to act and do our role,” she added.

Tabu’s latest film Life Of Pi, directed by the Oscar-winning Ang Lee, is slated to release Nov 21.

Her last movie was Khuda Kasam in 2010. She says she had her reasons for being away from the arclights. “There’s not any specific reason, but there are many reasons, not just a single reason. Sometimes you don’t like the role, sometimes the director is not trustworthy or the producer is not reliable. At times the money offered is not good,” she said.

But one hopes the versatile actress, who was seen in films like The Namesake, Chandni Bar and Cheeni Kum, will now be seen on the screen more often. (IANS)
