Major blow for ANVC-B

TURA: The breakaway faction of ANVC on Wednesday night suffered a major blow when security forces nabbed two of its cadres during a daring operation in Tura.

One of the arrested militants has been identified as Delu R Marak. Marak, who hails from Chunmati area near Dobasipara of Tura town, is the action commander of the ANVC-B.

According to sources, a police team spotted a Maruti car, coming in full speed to Tura town from Rongram side. They blocked the vehicle at Ringre market and ordered the occupants to come out. When one of the militants tried to take out a pistol commandos pounced on them and dragged them out of the car. Police recovered a China-made pistol with four live rounds of ammunition from them.
