New office bearers

The Five Star Club Lumparing Mynsain has elected its new office bearers which included Samar Das as the president, Babul Dey as the secretary, Joydeep Dey as the treasurer and Shibu Das as the vice president including other executive members.

 Jubilee celebrations

The Jubilee celebration of Little Flower Secondary School Malki, Shillong will be held on November 7 at 12:15 pm. Meghalaya Governor Shri R S Mooshahary will be Chief Guest on this occasion.

 Orientation programme

IGNOU regional centre, Shillong, is organising a two-day orientation programme for Local Untrained Academic Counsellors of IGNOU. It was inaugurated on Monday by Frederich Roy Kharkongor, IAS, Secretary of Education, Government of Meghalaya.

 Science Meet

The ‘State-level Congress’ of the 20th National Children’s Science Congress, 2012 was organised on November 1 at the Shillong Science Centre, NEHU Campus, Shillong. Altogether twenty nine project teams from different districts of the State presented their projects in the day-long programme.

 Championship

The survey of India, Bridge Club at Barik will organise its 17th Open Bridge Championship at the Survey of India Estate on November 10 and 11. The championship will have two events-Open pair contest and team of four duplicate. The open pair will commence from 9am on November 10 followed by the team of four duplicate.

 Seng Kut Snem

Ka Seng Khasi (Kmie) will celebrate the 113th Seng Kut Snem with the cultural procession from Madan Iewrynghep to Weiking ground on November 23 from 9.30 am onwards.

The various units of the Seng Khasi who would come with tabloid during the celebration to show case the traditional culture should inform Seng Khasi (Kmie) general secretary Bantei Rumnong on or before November 15.

 Inauguration

Comptroller and Auditor General of India Vinod Rai, during his two-day visit to Shillong on Monday inaugurated a newly built hostel building and a squash court complex of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department at Shillong constructed at a cost of ` 6.50 crore.
