Assault cases

On Tuesday at around 4.45 am, unidentified miscreants assaulted one Lakshman Lal (23 yrs), driver of trailer truck (HR-23A-1008) at Lad Smit (EKH). As a result, he sustained injuries and removed to CH Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.

A complaint was lodged that on Sunday, unidentified miscreants assaulted two BSF personnel, Havaldar MK Das and Constable Subhas Sarkar at Nongmynsong Bazar.

Theft cases

On Tuesday morning, unknown miscreants stole the registration plate of a Santro Tourist Taxi (ML-05J-6124) which was parked at Tourist Taxi Stand, Khyndai Lad. Matter is under enquiry.

Rape case

A complaint was lodged that on November 3 at around 7.30 pm, one Amar Rai raped and also attempted to strangulate one lady at Mawblei. Police arrested the accused.

Petty crime

A complaint was lodged that on October 31, two persons, Pinaki Paul and Bapi Paul created trouble during a prayer meet at Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Jail Road.
