Singing Competition

K. L. Bajoria College is organising an Inter – College Traditional Singing Competition on the theme “Back to the Roots”, on November12 at 1 pm in the College Auditorium.

Resignation

Cleaning drive

The Dorbar Shnong Mawlai Syllai Kariah will orgsanise a locality cleaning drive on December 10 from 8 am. All people have been requested to take part in the cleaning drive.

India’s Got Talent

The Shillong Meitei Tengbang Lup has appealed to all the meiteis in the state to vote for Toshanbor Singh Nongbet who is participating in India’s Got Talent. The group has also extended its wishes to the Manipuri ladies on the occasion of Ningol Chakouba. The festival of Manipuris which falls on November 15.

Youth Congress condemns attack

The Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress has condemned the recent plot of ambush by militants towards the Community and Rural Development Minister Saleng Sangma in garo Hills earlier this month.

JCI Shillong chapter

The Junior Chamber International (JCI), a worldwide federation of young leaders and entrepreneurs working on the empowerment and equipping youths on diverse fields and front like leadership and the JCI -Shillong Chapter and Marngar Chapter were inaugurated and installed on the November 3 at the Seminar Hall of the KHADC.

Unclaimed male body

The police personnel from Cantonment police outpost on Thursday has picked up one person from Malonghat parking lot who was lying unconscious. Later he was admitted to the Shillong Civil Hospital where he passed away on Friday. His age is between 30-35 and is wearing a white t-shirt and black colour pants and has silver chain around his neck. Concerned relatives are requested to contact the cantonment police outpost.

Unidentified body recovered

An unidentified body of an unknown male was found on November 8. Aged around 35-45 years, he was found lying by the road side near Pommura NH-44. The deceased was wearing a full sleeved black shirt and black pants; about 5.5ft tall, with black beard, fair skinned. The body has been kept at the Shillong Civil Hospital morgue for identification.
