Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Finance, Planning and PWD Minister Chowna Mein has called for commitment coupled with rededication for a ‘better’ Arunachal Pradesh in the coming years for the sake of the future generation.

Addressing the annual college day celebration of Jawaharlal Nehru College (JNC) at Pasighat in East Siang district yesterday, the minister appealed to all to join hands towards the development of the state, official sources said here on Sunday.

He highlighted various achievements of the Nabum Tuki government and particularly appreciated his cabinet colleague, Education Minister Bosiram Siram who played a vital role in upgradation process of JNC to state university.

Stressing self-employment, he informed that the government has announced various developmental schemes relating to Tea and Rubber plantations and further claimed that CM’s Prayatan Vikash Yojana (PVY) would bring fruits to the educated unemployed in the state.

Mein added that the state’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) has improved and in order to put more impetus in this direction, the government is coming up with horticulture and agriculture master plan to boost self-employment in the state. (PTI)
