JOWAI: A one-day winter session of the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) will commence on November 16. It is expected that the session will be stormy one.
House gutted: An accidental fire gutted an Assam-type house belonging to a former MDC, Marbud Kyndiah of Ummulong village, on Monday. Properties worth several lakhs were destroyed in the blaze. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
