Death toll

The death toll of civilians targeted by suspected ANVC(B) cadres in Nangalbibra, South Garo Hills rose to four on Monday.

Earlier three civilians were killed after a group ANVC (B) cadres fired at them at the market in Nangalbibra on Saturday afternoon.

Rape case

On November 9 evening, one Peterwel Paliar raped his own minor daughter aged (11 yrs) at Lawsiej village (SWKH).

Abduction

A complaint was lodged at Khliehriat PS that some unidentified armed miscreants (5/6) who attempted to abduct him and his brother from his shop at Khliehriat East (EJH).

Intimidation

One Berly Synrem of Nartiang (WJH) lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that three persons, Linda Phalangki, Bong Phalangki and Shar Phalangki threatened her with dire consequences. One, Linda Phalangki lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on November 1, one, Berly Synrem set fire to her house at Nartiang (WJH). As a result, utensils were damaged.

Theft

On November 11 night, unknown miscreants stole Rs. 23,000/- from the shop of one Tushar Kanti Barman at Keating Road. Matter is under enquiry.

On November 6 night, unknown miscreants stole goods valued around Rs. 61,926/- from the shop of one, Aisi Lamare at Iawmusiang Jowai (WJH).

One, Widamon Lamare lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on November 5 at around 10.30 am, she found some unknown miscreants had stolen Rs. 12,000 from her house at Mission Compound Jowai (WJH).

Arson

One, Mahadev Poddas, driver of truck (NL-01G-3110) lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on November 10 at around 1 am, unknown miscreants torched his truck which was parked at Deinchynrum petrol pump (EJH). Police said that investigation is on.

Attempt to murder

On November 9 at around 3 pm, unidentified miscreants stabbed one, Leki Bareh with a knife at Khliehriat (EJH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries.

Assault

On November 9 at around 9.30 pm, one Pantel Singh and his accomplices assaulted Ravi Singh, Hira Singh, Nishan Masih, Rani Masih and Lata Masih at Punjabi Line, Iewduh. As a result, the victims sustained injuries.

One, Damehi Lapasam lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on November 1 at around 9.30 pm, two persons, Ebor Sungoh and Bisharlang War assaulted him at Manner village (WJH) and also damaged his vehicle.

Missing

A complaint was lodged at Shillong Sadar PS that on November 2 at around 5 am, one Ram Sagar left his residence at Pynthorumkhrah along with his tourist taxi Wagon-R (ML-05G-1926) and since then he did not return home.

Fraud

One Liton Bardhan lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on November 1, his employee, Junu Malakar misappropriated Rs. 70,000/- from his furniture shop at Jowai (WJH) and fled away.
