SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Jeet Kune Do Association (MJKA) has organised the 1st Meghalaya Jeet Kune Do Championship at the basketball court at Malki Khliehshnong on November 9 and 10.
The championship saw the participation from athletes representing East Khasi Hill, Jaintia Hills, Ri-Bhoi and South West Khasi Hills.
The winners of the various events in the championship will represent Meghalaya in the forthcoming 25th National Jeet Kune Do Championship, which will be held in New Delhi.
Urban Affairs Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh was present at the opening ceremony.
