SHILLONG: St Edmund’s College defeated Umshyrpi College by 19 runs in the Inter College Cricket Tournament final at Polo on Tuesday to claim their second successive title.

St Edmund’s won the toss and put up a score of 129 all out in 24.5 overs. Man-of-the-Tournament Dipankar Dutta came good with the bat again to top score with 34 runs while Man-of-the-Match Syed Salman took two wickets.

In reply, Umshyrpi College lost quick wickets due to a tight bowling and fielding by their opponents.

They scored 110-9 off 25 overs. Syed Salman’s 34 got the match closer, but he was the only one to do well. Swarajeet Das took 2-12.
