Meghalaya teams reach b’ball final

SHILLONG: The First North East School Basketball Tournament is underway in Aizawl, Mizoram, and the two teams from Meghalaya – boys represented by St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School and the girls’ team represented by St Mary’s Higher Secondary School (both of Shillong) have reached their respective finals in the tournament, which will be played on November 16. St Mary’s will play against Sikkim at 11am and St Anthony’s will face hosts Mizoram at 7:30pm. Both Meghalaya teams defeated opponents from Tripura in the semifinals.
