Tripura MLA’s sister in-law injured by his PG’s bullet

Agartala: The 65-year-old sister in-law of sitting CPI-M MLA Tapan Das was hit by a bullet from the service pistol of the MLA’s personal guard who happens to be the son-in-law of the victim, on Wednesday evening in Melagarh in West Tripura.

The victim was shifted to a private hospital in critical condition but nobody was arrested and no police case registered yet.

Das stated that the bullet suddenly came out of the pistol when guard Shyamal Das was wearing clothes in the house of MLA and it was said to be an accident.

Doctors attending victim Arati Das informed that the bullet hit her just above the left kidney. (UNI)
