Arunachal newspaper office attack: Prime accused held

Itanagar: Police have arrested the prime accused and three other accomplices for allegedly ransacking the office of a local English daily and assaulting its associate editor.

The main culprit in this case Dobing Sonam (41), along with his accomplices identified as Tagum Phassang (32), Kome Yangfo (36) and Roye Yangfo (28), were arrested from Guwahati, the superintendent of police (Capital) informed on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip-off, SP Capital rushed two police teams to Guwahati under the leadership of sub-inspectors C A Namchoom and J Kamdak to arrest the culprit.

All the four were arrested from hotel VIP International, Kalapahar, Guwahati on Tuesday. (PTI)
