4 injured in separate road mishaps

SHILLONG: One A Charles Pawa (25) sustained injuries after he was hit by a truck while walking on the side of the road at Mookyndur under Thadlaskein Block, West Jaintia Hills on Thursday at 1pm.

In another incident, the driver of a Hyundai i10 travelling towards Khliehriat from Guwahati sustained injuries after the vehicle was hit by a truck travelling on the wrong side of the road while it was in the process of overtaking. The incident happened at Puriang under Mawryngkneng Block, East Khasi Hills on the November 21 at 3:11pm.

A Shaktiman truck carrying electric poles hit the earth on the side of the road after it developed some technical snag while travelling on a downward slope at Damebriba under Songsak Block, East Garo Hills on the November 21 at 2:48pm. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Resubelpara helped in shifting two laborers Sumanta Rabha (25) and Balnut Marak (28) to Resubelpara CHC.
