Raid
Police on Saturday conducted a vice raid at Madanriting area and managed to apprehend one Doma Lama (33) of Doma restaurant at Madanriting and seized 11855ml of IMFL. While another, Sita Gurung (58) of Tea Paradise at Happy Valley was detained for possessing 25000ml of IMFL. Gurung was arrested on Friday for selling illicit liquor and yet again, arrested on Saturday for continuing with the same.
Smuggling bid thwarted
BSF troops of Jatrakona, South Garo Hills distt seized a motorcycle (Bajaj Discover – 150 CC) worth Rs. 65,000 while being smuggled to Bangladesh near South Garo Hills. The seized motorcycle has been handed over to the concerned police station.
