SHILLONG: One BNC of 1st MLP Battalion — Ruth R Marak — on Saturday tried to commit suicide by consuming phenyl at her rented house at Mawiong. She was admitted to the Shillong Civil Hospital in serious condition. Sources said that a quarrel with her husband, who is also in the police department based at Mawiong, led her to take this drastic step.
