Garo Hills win first match of U-25 cricket tournament

SHILLONG: Garo Hills Cricket Association defeated All Jaintia Cricket Association by 65 runs in the first match of Group B in the Under-25 Inter District Cricket Tournament, organised by the Meghalaya Cricket Association.

Garo Hills won the toss and elected to bat. They scored 167 all out in 33.4 overs with Tenchang Sangma scoring 36 runs. Heipormi Langbang claimed three wickets.

In reply AJCA scored 102 all out in 30.3 overs. Jeffery Litting scored 36 runs while Ianco Shira bagged three wickets for the victors.

The next match will also see Garo Hills in action as they take on Ri-Bhoi Cricket Association.
